Marlene De Lima was one of the most positive, happy people you'd ever meet. She was always so incredibly bubbly and would just light up the room when she entered.

She was a fantastic mum, brilliant friend, awesome ambassador for Sport in Mind and overall amazing lady.

Being a mum to Gia and Christiano was Marlene's calling in life, they meant everything to her. She would talk for hours about how proud she was of them, how they were doing at school and, of course, on the football field.

Marlene always talked so passionately about her children, and she took this passion with her to Sport in Mind. She loved everything that we do - how we support women, mums, children and men struggling with their mental health through sport and physical activity. She loved volunteering with us and acting as an ambassador to shout about what the charity was doing and all the people we were helping.

She loved being active herself - doing Drummies in her youth (Drum Corps), going to gym and playing sport - but what she was really passionate about was how Sport in Mind connects with children and adults when they arent feeling their best and provide them the motivation to get out of the house and do something fun and positive.

Marlene touched the lives of so many people in her life and we know she would be so proud to know that the Marlene De Lima legacy will improve the lives of women, children and men struggling with their mental health.

We’re honoured to be delivering this project in partnership with the De Lima Family, and we know Marlene would be wholeheartedly behind everything we’re trying to achieve.

Any donations to the Marlene De Lima Legacy will go directly into supporting our numerous projects focused around the children and adults mental health.

Thank you so much for your help - together we make a huge difference to people's lives!
