Berkshire Renegades American Football Club held their first charity event, FlagFest 2021 in October 2021, and chose Sport In Mind as their preferred charity for the donations to be given to.

We received interest from teams around the UK wanting to take part, even a couple of teams from Cardiff and Swansea came to take part! We raised over £1,000 for Sport In Mind that went towards helping those struggling with their mental health try a sport or physical activity and help their mental wellbeing. We also received generous donations from Waitrose in Woodley and Woodford Park Leisure Centre.

Anyway, back to FlagFest 2022!

World Mental Health Day is on Monday 10th October 2022 and so FlagFest 2022 will take place at Woodford Park Leisure Centre, Haddon Drive, Woodley, Berkshire, RG5 4LY from 2pm on Saturday 8th October 2022. We already have a number of teams eager to take part - the winners from last year have already confirmed their space - they want to defend their title!

Woodford Park Leisure Centre has ample car parking and we have arranged for a vendor to sell burgers, hot dogs and refreshments.

The families and friends of the competing teams, along with current players, coaches of the club and the community, are welcome to come along, watch the games and enjoy the day.

All donations are very welcome - thank you for anything you can spare.
