I believe sport is the most effective way to combat poor mental health.My little brother shai committed suicide on 25th of July in the early hours of the morning. He was passionate about sports.
As a 17 year old athlete, I can see and have experienced the massive benefit between physical activity and positive mental wellbeing and think that sport should be accessible to all regardless of background, ability, income levels and age. I was drawn to your charity as your aims exactly match what I was searching to find for my fundraising adventure. My coach has set me a really demanding session as the basis for the fundraising so ice-packs may need to be ready by the time I finish!
I was hoping people may help me celebrate turning 40 by running 40 miles this August. I was looking for charities to support and I though as I was running to raise the money and have been coping with my own mental health issues, thought this charity was a perfect choice. I am also setting up a 4 hills running challenge with my running club.
