Sport in Mind is an independent mental health charity (unaffiliated to Mind) founded in Berkshire in 2010 to provide people experiencing mental health problems with the opportunity to engage in sport and physical activity in a safe and supported environment in order to promote mental wellbeing, improving physical health and combating social isolation.

We provide our services in partnership with the NHS and deliver these to support the recovery of people with mental health problems in the community and also inpatient care as we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to take part in sport and physical activity irrespective of how unwell they are.

Our programmes have been co-designed by people with personal experience of mental health problems and healthcare professionals in order to provide the most accessible and rewarding experience of our participants.

Sport in Mind's have delivered over 15,000 hours of sport and physical activity for people experiencing mental health problems across 18 different sports and our work has gained national acclaim.

We work with the NHS, councils, National Governing Sports Bodies, Voluntary Sector organisations, Schools, Colleges, Universities and community groups.
