So what is RED January?

RED January is a nationwide public health movement, empowering people to move every day in January to support their own mental wellbeing and raise funds to help Sport in Mind reach and support others. Whether you run, swim, cycle or choose your favourite fitness activity, set your goal and enjoy support from the RED and Sport in Mind community every step, splash and pedal of the way!

We want YOU to beat the winter blues this January by being active everyday for positive mental health! All you have to do is sign up for FREE, and set yourself your goal for January. Its as simple as that! You can stay on track using your Fitness First App! 


How will my fundraising for Sport in Mind make a difference?

Firstly, we want you to take part in this challenge for YOU! However as a charity, we work very hard to support people who are suffering with mental health challenges with our sports and activity programmes, providing free sessions for those that need it. To date we have helped the recovery of 15,000 through sport. With help from the Fitness First Family, we can do more. Below you can watch two videos, one from our CEO on what we do and how we support, and one from a participant that really shows the impact we can have on those who need it.




The money the Fitness First Team raise through RED January 2023 and beyond will enable Sport in Mind to transform the lives of so many people struggling with their mental health through sport and physical activity.
