Sport in Mind – Jog/Walk


Jogs and Walks are one of the most common ways for people to exercise and the mental and physical health benefits are well-documented.

Our Sport in Mind Jogs and Walks are designed to be accessible to all levels of runners/walkers, so all levels of volunteers are welcome.

These sessions are perhaps our most social sessions so the ability to engage with, listen to and encourage service users is essential.

As a Sport in Mind Jog/Walk Volunteer, you could be asked to complete several duties:

  • Ensuring that all users have stretched before and after the session
  • Be flexible in your speed, be prepared to go at the service user’s pace
  • Encouraging service users
  • Assisting in delivering a warm up and cool down if necessary


We are currently looking for Jog/Walk volunteers at the following sessions:
