Steve Smith I'm supporting Sport in Mind as my wife has suffered from depression and anxiety for all of her adult life and it has had a massive impact on her. In recent years she has started doing more sport and exercise, including yoga through Sport in Mind, and this has helped in all sorts of ways - confidence building, new friends and improved physical health.

Over the Easter weekend, my friend Calum and I will be attempting the Devizes to Westminster Canoe Race - the longest non-stop canoe race in the world - a total of 125 miles. We hope to complete the race in under 24 hours. Starting at Devizes on the morning of Saturday 11th, we will paddle down the Kennet and Avon canal to the Thames at Reading and then head on down to London through the night, arriving at Wesminster Bridge sometime on Easter Sunday morning. We've both been paddling for a number of years, and have been training hard for this event, but paddling for 24 hours straight is not a normal thing to do so it's going to be a real challenge.

I know how much benefit sport and exercise can bring to those struggling with depression and anxiety. I'd be delighted if I can raise anything to help the great work Sport in Mind do.

Huge thanks anyone who is able to support us. Steve Smith
